The synthesis of Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Powerline technologies create a unique and powerful new networking product. We leveraged the current frame-of-reference, and  the origin of that name to create a new frame-of-reference that perfectly describes this product.

This investment firm is comprised of two generations of family. As the client talked about the family connection, he related how the high mountains, Yosemite, and backpacking had been important to the family. We came up with the name and logo inspired by that reference, combined with the idea of a bold, adventurous spirit and vision associated with venture investing. The name is about the start, and the stacked rocks are common markings for hard to see trails that cross granite in the high Sierra. The metaphor was perfect.

Re-branding Atheros.

New logo uses bold colors with a motif  suggestive of the “yin and yang”. The idea is to denote the effortless transition from one thing to another, and coexistence of all technologies. The “A” is designed to be reminiscent of a caliper, which acknowledges the company's focus on engineering, design, and innovation. The word mark “Atheros”, has been re-drawn to be more proprietary and carry more strength.

This was a re-branding of the Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation.

This is an organization that is spearheading cognitive research to find treatments that improve the lives of those with Down Syndrome.

“Lumen” is a measure of light. We are combining the word “Lumen” with the word “mind”, to suggest that we are bringing light to the science of cognition.

Lumin + Mind = Lumind.

The universe of connected things was growing, and to meet demands, wi-fi became more powerful. To convey that we were bringing the evolving ecosytem to life, we created Vive.

IEEE 1905.1 hybrid home networking standard.

We created this technology brand around IEEE 1905.1 which defines hybrid networks that combine Wi-Fi, ethernet-over-powerline, MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance), and conventional wired ethernet topologies. Products with this certification support harmony between HomePlug, Wi-Fi, MoCA and Ethernet networking

technologies. Creating "harmony among disparate factions" requires communication, so there needs to be a diplomatic go-between.

Location is more than mere latitude and longitude, just as it is more than GPS. New points of reference power more finite accuracy and availability of information, and provide for   an expanding universe of applications that bring this technology fully into the fold.
